Agegnehu, age 2, was found left alone on 07/02/2012 (Ethiopian calendar) in a small town called Goje. His father took him to a cafeteria and told the waiters that he needed to use the restroom and asked the waiter to watch Agegnehu for a few minutes, but his Father never came back.  The owner of the cafeteria realized that Agagnehu’ s father had left him alone intentionally and called the police. Police officers came with Children and Woman’s Affair workers and subsequently referred Agagnehu to the Rehoboth Children Center in Awassa. It was apparent that Agagnehu had significant health issues. He could not move his hands and legs. Once he arrived at the center, he required constant care from the Rehoboth nannies as he had to be hand fed and carried from place to place for several months while being taken to different hospitals. After six difficult months, he was diagnosed with bone TB. He underwent treatment for a year. Today, after 4 years, Agagnehu hands and legs are working properly with some residual physical deformity. Thanks to God Agagnehu is now six years old and goes to regular school with his other friends thanks to the sponsorship provided by Globe Outreach. Agagnehu is a very bright and cheerful child with good academic performance and with a very hopeful future.
